Playing creator Recent news about genome technology will create a moral crisis ("World on brink of artificial life with genome transplant", Gulf News, June 30). This discovery will question the basic foundation of faith. The idea that man is attempting to be a creator means that man is trying to "play God".
But the fact remains that man is treading into many forbidden areas and creating doubts in the minds of people on basic tenets of faith. If man can create a living thing then he can of course manipulate it as per his requirements!

well, it has another side too! may be thn we can eradicate & overcome many obstacles & \ or diseases! of course it has to be used judiciously!
