I FAIL to understand how a killing can bring honour to a family. A father killing his own daughter for the glory of the family? What a shame! One cannot imagine how regressive the people of certain societies are in this progressive 21st Century. Psychologists say children are under the control of parents until they reach their teens and it is the duty of every parent to impart whatever family values and mould the child’s behaviour in their young age. But during teenage, many parents forget the role they must be playing in their children’s life, and when they go wrong, make a lot of fuss. It is the parent who must take the blame for not playing the role he or she should in normal course have played in the upbringing of their children. Saving lives can bring honour; not taking lives.

PS: I wrote this after reading in a daily about a father murdering his daughter for not accepting his choice and eloped with her love.

a v nc post & thot provoking too.........i had read a true story @ a young girl being murdered by her bro & father & her mother was a mute spectatore ( she cdnt do a thing ) . iw was in jorden the police too covered it up ............honour killing! & the there is honour reveng............raping a female relative of a person who has commited a crime !people have reached to the stars & outr space but these are struck in caves only !
