On dress code
19 June 2007CULTURAL ingress brings with it alien habits and it is unavoidable in a cosmopolitan city and the fastest growing country in the world like the UAE. People learn about different dressing habits. I have seen many Europeans wearing local, traditional dress and likewise, I have seen people from other cultures trying out various Western outfits. There is no harm if people accept any dress code and do not breach the privacy of the person. Women wearing revealing outfits attract unwanted attention from the opposite sex. So I think it is prudent for women to dress modestly and avoid feeling uncomfortable.

yesterday, i was passing thro a place & it is dominated by the musloms. i saw many muslim ladies( young too ), covered frm head to toe in their dress. only the eyes were visible . they were doing whar any other lady wd be doing ......normal stuff!& i was wondering how beautiful they seem ( frm the eyes )& in that oppressive heat how can they wear that extra & unneccessory long clotes. for a moment i had a pity on them !

the key word here is .......feeling uncomfortable, isnt it ?if 1 is able to wear it ( in a proper sense.........again it is a subjective matter ), 1 sd go ahead. life is too short to worry @ dresses!
